A sincere welcome to Sheridan from all of us at Fly Shop of the Bighorns. Sheridan is more than a beautiful setting to escape the monotony of everyday life, Sheridan is an experience. From the restaurants, the downtown merchants, and most importantly, the people, Sheridan is, in our opinion, a place worth spending the time to get to know. We invite you to take a look at our recommendations of what to do and where to go (when you’re not fishing, that is) to successfully take in the personality and experience that is Sheridan, Wyoming.
When it comes to food, we have a plate full of recommendations.
And “when it comes to Mexican, you need to check out Las Delicias. Best chimichangas around, but you need to start with the Cancun Cocktail. Ask for it warm with extra shrimp.” – Peter
Open Range Bar and Grill
Of course, if you’ve come to the Wild West expecting a good steak, head over to Open Range and order their New York Strip or indulge in the Prime Rib.
Pony Grill and Bar
If you’re looking for a relaxed bar and grill, head to The Pony for it’s outdoor seating, fried pickles and awesome burgers (try the mushroom & swiss).
All of us at the Shop enjoy Frackelton’s.
“Frackelton’s for the best martini in town. Sapphire gin up with three blue cheese stuffed olives and shaken not stirred, of course. And I love their Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl appetizer; yummy awesomeness!” – Gary
If you’re there for lunch, try the Seared Tuna sandwich.
“If you need a close and easy drive in the mountains, check out the Tunnel Inn-the only restaurant in Story. Love it for special occasions, fantastic food, wine, and atmosphere.” – Gary
Black Tooth Brewery
“Not food, but beer is practically a food group. Amazing beer. Order one of these: Sheridan Pilsner, Saddle Bronc Brown Ale or the Saison (French Belgian).” – Peter
