Peter WidenerPeter Widener

A Wyoming native, Peter was born in Sheridan yet was educated in Big Horn. Though heavily involved in athletics, his true passion had always been fly fishing. Ever since he was young, Peter has been infatuated with the challenge, sport and evolution fly fishing offers.

After graduation, he attended college in Bozeman, Montana; a town known for its business opportunities, but what attracted Peter was, naturally, the fly fishing.

From chasing roosters, stalking bonefish, and trout fishing in Alaska, Peter’s exploits have taken him all over the lower 48. Despite this, he shows no sign of slowing down, and has a list of numerous adventures, fly fishing opportunities, and other boxes on his bucket list, many already checked off. One such item is his lifelong aspiration to own a fly shop. Said Peter, “Getting to be around my passion and people I share it with on a daily basis a dream come true.”

Clark Smyth

Clark Smyth

Clark Smyth was born in western Colorado where he learned to fish at a young age.  He spent his youth on the banks of rivers such as the Roaring Fork, Frying Pan and Gunnison.  The son of two teachers, education was a pivotal ingredient in Clark’s upbringing and remains so today as evident in his passion for teaching the art and sport of fly-fishing.  Today, Clark lives in Sheridan, Wyoming with his wife, Cory and daughter Emerson where he operates Rock Creek Anglers, a Bighorn Mountain regional fly-fishing guide service and outfitter that conducts custom tailored guided adventures in north central Wyoming and southern Montana.

Although Clark spends much of his time dedicated to catching trout, he has a wealth of fly-fishing knowledge of other species, worldwide.  He is frequently seeking out new and unique destinations to target a large variety of fish species with a fly rod.  While Clark has fished in fabled locals such as New Zealand, Belize, Mexico and Chile, he has also spent time traveling to places where other seasoned anglers refuse to go.  He has caught exotic species in India, Myanmar, Thailand, Mongolia, Brazil and Cambodia, to name a few. Clark frequently demonstrates fly-casting, teaches seminars on fly-fishing skills and techniques and is always discussing angling destinations ranging from his home waters in the Rocky Mountains to those in the most remote corners of the globe.  Clark brings a sense of humor, enthusiasm, approachability and thirty years of fly-fishing everywhere he goes.
