There has been a sudden surge of anglers taking a step back in time and getting their hands on glass rods. Whether it be modern or classic, it is a definite step back from the modern fast rods which to many is the appeal of slinging glass. To all of those willing to take the leap our hats are off to you, for those not quite ready we hope to help convince you to refine your tastes.
Blue Halo Glass Rods
We live within a mountain range that is full of the classic mountain streams. Anyone willing to put in the time to explore, there is a very good chance you may be the only set of feet to hit that stretch of streambed that year. Taking a step back to the roots of where a lot of this started is one of the coolest experiences that fly fishing has to offer. Softer rods that just beg for the dry fly take are definitely one of the things that keep me up at night. We all have our little quirks….. this one always has me grinning.
Scott Glass Rod
Both modern and classic have their place at the table, but know that dismissing the modern due to lifelong assumptions is a mistake. Get out and get your hands on some glass, slow your roll, and have some fun!
